Planning your visit
To experience Andicuri Beach at its best, a bit of planning goes a long way. Because Andicuri Beach sits on a rougher part of Aruba’s shoreline, travelers trade easy roads and beach bars for winding paths and raw serenity. Do not expect busy tourist crowds or long rows of beach chairs. Instead, think of open space, strong breezes, and views untouched by commercial development. There are no entrance fees or tickets, but reaching the beach requires some effort since the path is mainly unpaved. Rental cars with higher clearance handle the approach roads best, though some visitors opt for guided off-road tours. Families with young children or travelers with mobility issues should expect challenging walking conditions on the sandy, rocky stretch down to the water.
- Best time to visit: Weekdays, early morning or late afternoon for soft light and fewer people. Avoid midday heat.
- How to get there: Rent a four-wheel drive vehicle or join a guided ATV or off-road tour from Oranjestad. The parking area sits just above the cliffs, accessed by a dirt road off the main route to the Natural Bridge site.
- Accessibility: Access involves uneven, steep ground; not recommended for strollers or wheelchairs.
- Average visit duration: Plan on 2–3 hours to explore, relax, and take photos. Longer if surfing or picnicking.
